why is this game rated worse than Lucius 1?

currently playing through the first game, why is the sequel rated so much worse? thanks

The game is riddled with bugs from their engine change from Esinthel to Unity(?) i dont remember). Buggy mechanics, poor controls, untweakable settings.

As well to add they didn't find the story as immersive as its predecessor.

Just some things I've seen since launch people complaning about.

after seeing the complaints about bugs, then getting stuck in the tutorial within my first 5 mins of play, it looks like im gonna have a bad time
at least you can skip it though

Hi! How did you get stuck? Was it on Linux? (We don't really get bug reports from Windows side anymore.)

Haven't played it yet, love the first game! This one looks like it takes place in a psychward the whole time judging by the pictures... That doesn't sound cool. We'll see.

With the water gallon part I wasn't able to continue, there was no fountain or anything. Saving and loading didn't help so I had no choice but to skip the tutorial.

BUT... I'm liking the game so far. and haven't ran into any other problems.

I think because it was more sandboxy, so could get repetitive. Also it's the sequel, so the novelty of being Lucius has worn off which will take a point or two off its score.

It's almost unplayable; I only kept it because the story is great
