How to operate guard mode and unlock guard mode.

Hi Guys.
Can anyone tell me how to operate the Guard mode please, I have never used this, I normally always drive, tried 390, I couldn't even move in the train and tried the Blackpool still can't get anything to work.
Any help would be appreciated, as there is 15 to do on Mastery.

Do not try to ose it with express trains. There is an issue causing that you may not need to check any ticket. Otherwise, select play as guard and follow the instructions. Make sure to switch on the guard guidance in the settings, so you can learn the corect door open/close procedures for each train and route.

Just did guard mode on the Blackpool Branches using the Class 101 and Class 142 (Preferred the Class 142 due to better views from the secondman's seat). Got my duties done and sat back and breathed in that glorious North West Countryside.

I don't normally do guard mode but today i found out how to spend a relaxing morning after spending the last couple of days on the Koln-Aachen route (a brilliant upgrade to what was an enjoyable route before).

Have you got Settings/Hud and Gameplay/ Conductor Mode Control Guide switched to ON?

If you do, it instructs you on procedures throughout the journey as if you are in scenario mode.

390 Doesn't seem to work, couldn't move or open and close doors.
I did select conductor instead of Driver and that's what happened to me.

Yes, I have checked and it is on.

I just tried it on the blackpool again, I opened panel the lid of the switchce's came up but no switch was working to open doors and the guards panel just stayed locked again and instructions don't do anymore., cannot continue. Doors just won't open.
I am at a loss here, I even printed 0ff the keys to use on my keyboard, nothing is working.

I presume you are talking about the Class 142. Did you release the door controls at the key switch by the door (at belly button height next to driver door) first, before releasing the control panel lid?

I will have to look for that, I just tried the 323, same problem, this is driving me mad.

But no passengers get on the train on the 142 Blackpool, in Guard mode, any idea's guys please?

Nothing is working now, verified files still no passengers getting on and no instructions to check tickets, I give up with this, thanks though guys, very much appreciated your help.
