ATB Broken on New Netherlands DLC ?
I have followed th ATB course but i ran into a problem, and i hope i might get some answerrs here. It is as follows, The ATB kicks in, in the tutorial, then i do as explained to release the ATB, then the next time the ATB kicks in it won't release, what ever i trie the ATB stay's locked. I think this must be a bugg, even the override does not work and the train keeps standing still. I had this problemm yesterday allso on a different train on that route. Do i not understand something or is it bugg ?

Kind Regards,

Ramon

This did not help, because it discribes exactly how i play it, i did what they descibe to release the ATB stop, but nothing happens. It seems bugged. Even if you turn the ATB off in that situation nothing happens, the train stais put, totally switching off the train and then back on again, same problem, The ATB will not come out of the red. Brakes are on max, i pushed the red button on the display and nothing happens, all stays red. The signal next to the track is Green.... I really do not know what is the issue here, i mean i use it allso in train sim classic and never had anny of this problems. ?

And this is happening in the training scenario, correct?

Yes and also on the first scenario mission.
I just cam out of the game and saw more strange things, a Koploper just sitting idle on the tracks signals beffore where yellow.... and just behind it came a sprinter, and behind that a nother koploper ???? 3 trains right after each other, that is on scenario 3 on that route.
Senario 2 where you have to look out for "workers" i did not see annything no yellow sign and suddenly the train swapped tracks and i had to "horn" so the sign had clearly be "yellow" what is drive 40 km/h isted of green and go 140 km/h. Luckally i had a kind of idea and had allready slowed down so i did not derail but that was pretty shocking so sudden..
Just simple things i see and notice, further i am verry happy with the game, just drove that scenario without atb and finished with a parking accuracy of 1.25 mtrs and 1.07 mtrs. And no overspeedings.
It works fine now, so this toppic can be clossed from my part.
Manny thanks for those who helped!
Can confirm ATB is bugged and will not release even when brakes set at 100% or ATB is cut-out.

Did you do the training scenarios? The SNG3 training on ATB is pretty good.

I just tested it on the SNG3 on my Xbox Series X, three times I let ATB activate, and was able to recover with minimal issue because I accidentally put the reverser into neutral, which is another annoying thing in TSW as a whole (except for US Freight trains). I even put it into Emergency Braking and recovered with no issues whatsoever. All I can say is, it's working for me, and for anyone new to the Netherlands DLC, do the ATB Training Scenario, it's actually done pretty well.

Yes it is working here as whell now, i think that is because of the little update, i wrote the patch list and saw manny things they fixed on the Dutch DLC. We just have to be a little paitient i think, i do not know how big Dovetail is as a company but i do know that they do a lot more for other sim games like Microsoft flight sim. But this was a pretty quick update.
Since my last post i haven't had anny issue. Only on conductor mode when you are going from "Assen to Groningen" one of the first timetable shifts, when ariving in Groningen you can not lock the doors, when you press your key for the door a screen pops up what says, play again or next scenario.... but i think this will be fixed to, the return run Groningen to Assen in condutor mode went verry well.

I never had an issue with the ATB after going through the training scenario, the conductor mode option seems a bit buggy in TSW5 as a whole. But this was a quick update, and while trying to fix some things, others got messed up. I hope to have a video out soon.

The verry first time i did the training scenario everything went well allso, but the seccond time i did it i made a mistake and the atb brake kicked in, and then i coold not release it.
Maybe that is just ment to be because you don't suppose to stop there ?
I did notice that if you don't do everything as instructed and when instructed during the training scenario, the game is still trying to follow the script as it was written. It's not where you did not stop, it's the actions you did or did not take. I did run into that once also.
