NEW to TS 5
Hi all,

As title says am new to train sim 5 and am loving it. Well I am apart from one thing, stutters. I know it's a big thing in TS and any software that uses the UE4 engine but some titles do manage to run it and mostly sort them but TS5 doesn't do a great job. The advice from the developers is to run the scenario first to pre-load the shader cache and you should see a vast improvement although the cache is only so big so it won't last. Why not make the cache bigger ?

Anyway, any ideas from long time players out there or do we wait for UE5 and believe me from the software that I have played that has it's own issues as well.

Am not playing on top end pc but it's no Potato either.

You can try some mods "Also it is TSW5 "Train Sim World __" UE5+ is not in cards for TSW not yet that is.

You start with these as they are the most popular and they work well.

Add -DX12 to launch options for TSW5 in the Steam Library.

You can change the shader cache size in the Nvidia Control Panel.

And remember that the shaders will have to be rebuilt if you update your GPU driver.

I have an absolut minimum of stutters, and barely notice whenever it happens. So the game can run smoothly.

Game is poorly optimized you come to understand that sooner than later.
