ECML Diesel Railtours Pack - why no Deltic?
The EE Class 55 "Deltic" was THE iconic ECML diesel loco..... that it is not included in this package seems to be (at least) a gross oversight.

Why has this icon of the era been utterly left out of the sim and, in particular this update, where it would have been entirely relevant and, no doubt, challenging to drive?

See the January 2025 Roadmap article and scroll down for 'ECML Diesel Railtours Pack from Athena Simulations':

That has pretty much all that is known so far.

Perhaps they couldn't get access to a real one for research. It's also Athena's first DLC for TSW, so they probably wanted to start with something smaller.
I would love to have a Deltic in the game, too, but honestly I'd prefer to get one with a period correct route rather than just a railtour pack (I wouldn't mind if someone did a remake of the TSC's old York - Newcastle route for TSW).

Something strange about DTG and Deltics in general. Even in TS Classic, they were never really touched on since the original, rather outdated Railworks model. There was one repaint and some third party upgrade thingy and that's all.
I think it may be because the Deltics were quite rare, with only 20 ever being made.
They were also only in service for 20 years before they were replaced.

I may be wrong but they also only ever operated on the London to Edinburgh route and later the London to Hull route.

In essence, a very rare beast in limited operation.

However, i really would love Dovetail to let us have a freestyle way of adding any engine we have bought to any line we have bought too.
