Just save the money and buy a real Train

This game comes out every year with so many expensive DLCs. Literally a DLC costs like a full videogame.
From the same money you could just buy real train and drive that one.

If you actually go on Tiktok you'll find buying and keeping a train will cost you a few million so that's pretty much a no go to start with.

Oh....one in the loft...yeah right, it would cost me at least £2-3K to fit out a train set in the loft with locos costing upwards of £120 each + rolling stock +scenery +materials to construct the base +controllers and signals.

As for costs how many titles are at dlc prices? Most of the new titles are coming in at $60+ now.

Ahhh....free to play...my nephew does that..blew £1800 on extras that were absolutely needed...going to be blowing a lot more now the wife is divorcing him!

So on which platform do you own this title, cause you don't own TSW 5 on Steam?

Im hoping that at Christmas time or new year, they will reduce the price of the Cornwall routes DLC. I bought the steam train for that route without realising that the asking price was for the steam train only. I dont wanna splash out another £25, but if they do a sale price on it i will. I bet most players enjoy operating steam trains the most.

I have bought 62 DLC's, all of them at discount prices. I have spent some hundreds of bucks. But so what, it's my hobby. All hobbies cost. This is a lot cheaper than flying or travelling, for example.

Agreed. In the 18th Century there was a practice called 'The Claque' where professional moaners would inhabit theatres and heckle the actors and tell everyone, at every opportunity, how bad the play/variety show is.

They were in fact paid by rival theatres to move on the audience to the new show in town.

It would seem to me that nothing much changes in life over 300 years.

i don't agree with OP. dlcs are real world routes at scale 1:1. all fitted with at least two locos with fully clickable cockpits. with localized language tutorials. no, no offense but someone saying the dlcs are a steal are living out of reality
aparently derail valley is a good game (this is another subject) but it doesn't have real world routes. plus according to what i read it's less simulation oriented than tsw

They are far from being fully clickable, and in some cases the clickable ones are only cosmetic.

Maybe you are referring to past information you have read or watched. Their latest update provided actual Simulation to the Loco's, so if you drive them wrong, they will break.

Good luck breaking anything in TSW. Even on the higher Quality Loco's you can basically do what ever you wish and nothing happens [Class 87 is an exception as it's the first time I've had to trip a circuit breaker ever].

I've only paid full price for one route and that was the WCML North Over Shap. Apart from that I've got loads DLC's none were full price.
