Yes, the download was crazy! I'd like to see a local dlc scan/transfer in the future, too.
All of the DLC are compatible. So TSW1,2,3,4. The DLC through each version hasn't actually changed, only different is the DLC specifically released for that edition won't be available for a previous version.
Train Sim World is a different product to Train Simulator 2024. DLC from Train Sim World 1, 2, 3 and 4, will work on 5.
Train Simulator is the older game before they released TSW.
The New York to New Haven NEC route is not compatible and will only work on the original Train Sim World.
Dovetail have refused to get this route working as it will take up resources and they will get no revenue from it.
An absolutely disgraceful way to treat customers who purchased this route in good faith.
They should have offered us a free replacement....
Is it just that one route? I mean, my point is still sonewhat accurate, plus I didn't say "all". Either way that's a lot of content that moves over with every new addition of the game.
Although OP's trouble is owning DLC from Train Simulator 2024, which isn't compatible with TSW games.
