Even if it takes a minute or so longer to load, I'm okay with that. If after that I'll get 30-60 minutes of stutter free gameplay (depending on the service ofc) then I'm all for it!
I don't think it will be added to tsw5, I have my hopes up for tsw6
Try and go back and forth on the same route a few times and see if it helps. Most of the stutter comes from the shader cache building the first time you go on a route and usually minimizes after that. At least until you update your graphics driver.
Interesting findings. You should either post in on the DTG forum or create a support ticket with this.
That's not very encouraging.. *sigh*
It’s a locomotive 🙄
BTW I am wondering why this is not the default setting, we do this tweek for like ages.
Would you as a business like DTG, take on the headache and major cost of upgrading to UE5 if TSW on UE4 is still bringing the money in?
Think like a business and not a player to come up with that answer.
The only command line I have used is -DX12 but frankly for me I am unsure if this has provided any benefit. I also set the frame rate to 60fps because i use HDMI to screen
I have never experienced any stuttering or low frame rates in TSW4 or 5 at all, although sometimes steam sometimes makes me wait a couple of minutes for a shader refresh before starting the game.
