Thumping sound?

Just got the game, and love it so far. I was just curious about one of the environmental sounds.

When I spawn, I hear a continuous thump-thump-thump. It sounds different than when the Brute is walking nearby. It changes to a metallic thump when I walk up stairs, so I thought it might be my footsteps, but also continues when I'm crouched in a cabinet.

Is this sound the general sound of the monster stomping around? Is it my heartbeat? Is it my footsteps? I was wondering what to make of it.

I heard the same thing when facing the Hunter. I believe it's him moving through the vents. Scared me the first time. But after listening intently, I even heard that thumping sound, followed by a vent dropping in the lower decks. Ooo, spooky! :)

If that thumping sound can always be heard while your walking and doesn't change with the different monsters, it's probably your footsteps.

i hear sounds like a toilet flushing, and wet slapping noises along with odd breathing.

Yeah it's probably the toilet, not the Hunter
