Which Monster is the scariest?
What's your personal opinion?

In my eyes, the Hunter was the scariest at first. I hated how he can appear out of nowhere when you're not paying attention to sound and he can be incredibly hard to spot in some of the darker areas of the ship.

Though I now see how easily countered he really is. His chase game is lackluster and running away for 20 seconds solved every encounter I've had with him so far.

The Fiend's ambient lighting flicker effect is definitely some spooky sh*t as well.

The Fiend. Everything about it -- its look, its movements, the awful noise it makes when it sees you -- totally sells that it is a supernatural being who will consume your soul.

I personally think the brute and the fiend give the scariest chase sequences. The brute being the fastest one is the hardest to get away from, not to mention his ability to essentially ignore doors. And the fiend's range stun which stresses me the ♥♥♥♥ out when he freezes me as he closes in because I know my window for escape has been shrunken. But the hunter definetly scary too. I know some people just like to speed run through the game if the hunter is the monster but I start to freak out when I know that it's been a good amount of time since he's come out of a vent. And you know there's the worry that he'll come out in a spot to corner you.

Fiend. Fiend all the way.

The brute has his scary roar, the fiend has his scream, and the hunter has his goo/creepy chase music/spawn ways, i say the hunter wins

Let me put like this: Flickering lights in this game freak me out even when I *know* the monster is the brute or the hunter.

The hunter since i first encountered it in the cargo containers and lets just say i couldnt run anywhere and seeing this skeletal creature coming for you in an enclosed space is awful, also the fact that it is on all fours really creeps me out

The Brute is the scariest as even though you hear the general area the stomping is coming from, you don't know if hes round the corner or on the deck above, so you hide anyway, even if he is messin about with the camera's upstairs. I think the hunter is the most annoying though, Because no matter WHERE YOU GO, there are ALWAYS the hunter bubbles in the cargo hold, which is dumb because theres usually an escape item in the cargo hold, and those bubbles migt be blocking your chain.

From best to worst, in that order in category.

Appearence wise? Brute, Fiend, Hunter.

Althought naturally every one of them are pretty disturbing monsters, but something about a towering giant of pure bulldozing mass racing towards you is quite a dreadful image.
____________

Gameplay wise? Fiend, Brute, Hunter.

Everything can seem so quiet, then the lights flicker. Okay, he's around, but I have no idea where unless he's within a 5 meter radius of me which is already dangerously close. Let alone more so he's on the same floor as me. Ever since I read that the fiend is a lot "smarter" than the other two, it's put me on edge way more since then. But primarily it's the fact that he's so easy to bump into just around the corner.
____________

Sound wise? Hunter, Brute, Fiend.

For the most part a game with the hunter is pretty silent, but when he pops out he pops out fast with quite a furious screech. Thing is, it's the same scream as when he just appears, hears something or sees you so it can get briefly tense not knowing if you're in immediate trouble or not. He just sounds so vexed. And I just can't get comfortable with those footsteps.

the brute the best

The Fiend by far for me. Silent; no footsteps. Makes that awful sound when he sees you and instantly starts attacking your mind, which makes the situation even more disorienting than usual when any of the monsters sees you and you have only moments to react and figure out which direction is the safest to run.

If you have the misfortune of meeting him in the cabin areas in a hallway he can close and lock all of the doors....the WORST feeling in the whole game is to be running as hard as you can to get to a door ASAP and you see that purple cloud appear around the door frame and watch the door shut as you are just a few more feet away.
