Ok there's items doing the job, but for the price it's non sense with the game ballance, at least during first parts. The game could have implemented cheaper cure through a mechanism like for food and rest, the spell would be more for combats.
So for me it was just a flat stat boost which looks like a missed opportunity.
I used level 1 spell multiple times thinking it is removing one curse on every cast, then I read description :)
I think its a flaw, anything to make the early game harder should be tweaked. I bet more than a few people tried this game but got turned off because of how hard the early game is.
