Fruitless grind at lvl 20. Am I missing something?

So I defeated Khornil at 19, was pretty satisfied in being able to navigate his fortress while avoiding the elite guards. It felt this was what was intended by design.

Did pretty much every other content before the Vilak unlock patch - killed 2 witches, cleared all areas of visible map enemies, cleared most of random spawns. Am now at 21 and get my ♥♥♥ handed to me whenever I try West Vilak.

Have cleared every area of random encounters except Karraga Plateau (current random enconter is 2x Yeti that kick my ♥♥♥) and Temple of Aleanet (boring grind). Don't see anywhere else I could go to.

Am I missing something?

Yup, you seem to miss something, Im lvl 30+ and in Devonia atm, which is about just right regarding difficulty.

Have you travelled south of Nabros yet?

There are many enemy encounters in that vicinity, as well as east in the Garden of Hamaleth. From that location, you can also head west through the Red Pass, upon defeating the guardian, and begin exploring the desert region of Varaskel.

Thanks. I feel quite stupid - I did not realize I could beat the Guardian yet. He looked much tougher than he was.

At the desert now - spider disease is a gaddamn money-sink, but otherwise encounters seem more balanced for my level.

How did you beat that Guardian at Red Pass? I'm where you were at story wise and I'm Level 18 and my attacks only do 1-3 damage and he has 700 HP. Am I missing something? Does it have a certain weakness or what?

Yes, you need the Hammer of Kersket (Divine Artifact) to be able to damage him. You get it in one of the Towers of Sorcery.

The Hammer of Kersket can be obtained in the Tower of Resilience, located in the Living Forest of Odendros, south of Cunavarn.

Thanks for the info! But how do I access the towers? I try to go in them and it says I need a special key and won't let me in. Where is the key to access them?

As answered in the other thread, you need to visit the hermit in Golden Woods (Sorentia map). Your quest list should say that. Have a look. Try to avoid the big white flowers as they put you to sleep and you will have to start from the beginning of the woods.

Yeah I posted the question in both threads about the same time. Thanks for all the help. Got that and finished the first 2 towers and just beat The Guardian at Red Pass.
