Max agility needed for weapons?
I am curious if there is a list somewhere detailing what is needed agility wise for the upper tier weapons?
I am trying to figure out how much to randomly put into my characters as I level my main stats like speed con and strength.
thanks

I don't know of any such list, but you can safely ignore it for pure spellcasters. Melee types find it useful, and based only on imperfect memory, you might need it in the 30's for certain weapons. Obviously an archer should be pumping this over strength anyway.

I could provide some sample end-game stats (you do get some massive boosts to all stats late game) if you like guidelines to where I ended up w/ various character classes. I've played the game 2x, just so I could use every class.

P.S. You might already know this, but if not, don't pick any plants until you've maxed out Gaulen's Knowledge of Plants! It will require some backtracking, but the benefits are worth it.

Thanks. Yah post what you can please. I am mainly concerned about high end maces, swords and bows. I have 2 mace wielders and 2 bow users. Seems Crossbows need strength too.

I was aware of the Gaulen waiting until he is maxed. Wow I am not done picking from all the earlier places and have around 188 stat boosts from herbs. Definitely so worth the wait.

Alright, apologize if this is too much info...

Gaulen #1 (used axes)
ST (61); CO (92); AG (82); SP (101); EN (38)
Duilas (bard w/ bows & crossbows)
ST (48); CO (76); AG (70); SP (93); EN (33)
Kira (thief w/ swords & shurikens)
ST (71); CO (100); AG (86); SP (100); EN (29)
Ixus (soldier w/ maces & hammers)
ST (140); CO (95); AG (87); SP (100); EN (61)
Alesia (cleric; only went up to 10 pts in Pole W-s)
ST (56); CO (96); AG (51); SP (101); EN (46)
Menon (mage; also only went up to 10 pts in Pole W-s)
ST (43); CO (96); AG (58); SP (99); EN (41)

Gaulen #2 (used bows)
ST (54); CO (79); AG (101); SP (109); EN (32)
Barbarian (axes!)
ST (156); CO (75); AG (91); SP (109); EN (25)
Paladin (maces & hammers)
ST (80); CO (85); AG (93); SP (110); EN (35)
Arcane Soldier (swords)
ST (96); CO (87); AG (92); SP (111); EN (71)
Cleric (only 2 pts in Pole W-s)
ST (47); CO (95); AG (45); SP (108); EN (35)
Divine Summoner (only 1 pt in Daggers; used shield for defense)
ST (43); CO (99); AG (39); SP (106); EN (83)

2nd playthrough was on Hard, w/ a slightly unoptimal deployment, but I made it work.

Despite these really high end-game stats, like I originally said, I don't think you need AG much higher than the 30s--for weapon purposes. You'll want it for other reasons, though, on certain characters.

Great list.
Thank you for this. It gives me an idea for the weapons and what I need to settle at for characters I don't need to continue to pump agility with.
Those are high stats. I assume that is from equipment or am I incorrect?

Thanks again for taking to the time to share this complete list of end game weapon requirements.

I did most everything possible to max xp. 1st game reached about 64th level; 2nd game about 66th level. This means taking Learning for every PC starting at 8th level and maxing it out no matter what. Got probably 95% or more of the "zone cleared" bonuses as well.

In addition (again, no spoilers) you will gain a total of +18 to all stats for all PCs late game, so keep that in mind. ATM, I can't remember if gear gave me stat bonuses; I haven't played this game in a while. (I check the boards hoping to read about a sequel announcement.)

Enjoy.

Cool deal. I posted something and a dev did reply that they were releasing the workshop and an update to the original game and that they have a new project in the works.

I did some research and restarted about 5 times to get the right team and so I did do max learning.
I have not done the throw items in the wells.
I also am wearing only 2 prophet items on each character.
My arena character is 3 levels above everyone else right now.
So did you wear full prophet gear to max exp?
BenSt88 Sep 12, 2015 @ 9:01am
I didn't throw items into the wells; didn't even know that was an option until my 2nd game. I actually didn't have a lot of prophet items on my PCs. Typically only those who I found lagging behind in levels, so they'd catch up. And/or they were in the back anyway (my Divine Summoner).

The arena specialist was the best melee PC, but for some fights, another PC worked out better. So much fun!

I really hope they announce a sequel to this game. Thanks for the info on that.

Yah me too I like the game.
You played an Arcane Soldier all the way through. How was that?
I read they were bad but you played one all the way through so how did that work out and how does the summoner play?
I got a Barbarian Paladin Thief - Front Line and Gaulen Bard and Cleric in the back. ON my next playthrough I want to try out more magic classes.
alienstookmybeer Sep 12, 2015 @ 1:56pm
I played with a summoner and liked it. But that's a character that would definitely benefit from being able to see the full potential skill tree, since I ended the game without knowing what a lot of summonables were capable of. Having Naleat for an extra healer was great, and Golot brought in tons of extra gold for skill points (was spending over 40k per skill point towards the end of the game cause I bought so many).
BenSt88 Sep 13, 2015 @ 9:27am
The AS is not bad! It saved my bacon plenty of times w/ just a few pts in Frost Strike delaying an enemy's turn. The key for an AS--for me anyway--is to ignore most of the costly spells and mainly make him/her a fighter. The only spells I ever learned were a (single) pt in End of Flames & Incinerate Air (otherwise you're buying scrolls), and Brittle Armor (helps against bosses). Otherwise, it was swords and melee-based skills all the way.

The DS was also a ton of fun, but you need to know you're only going to max 2 of the avatars so plan accordingly! I used Golot (that gold came in handy, trust me) and an offensive avatar (Taliet but both Valvet and Raznet work well I hear). Early on I used Nalaet for some obvious healing but never took that avatar too far. I also pumped CO & SP almost exclusively to keep the squishy DS alive. Herald's Power, Destiny & Light are excellent help for your avatars. ALL EN freebies (magical fonts etc.) go to the DS, as they're arguably the most skill-starved PC, and will need those EN pts.

I had a 4-2 line w/ the cleric and DS in back (you need the extra spaces on the back ends for the avatars). Gaulen and the AS on the front ends kept them from getting hit too often; tanked w/ the paladin and barbarian.

As you can see from my 2 parties, I chose what I did specifically so I could try every class. Or, if you start w/ the default party, my 2nd party was all that remained to play.
I have never seen anything higher than rank 18 from any source except for a single one time event that grants an endgame weapon (rank 20) of the desired type. That said...

All my characters look something like this. You get +21 all stats on all characters endgame and most high level enemies have high drop rates on stat boosting items, there's also herbs if you only take those with a level 30 Herb skill. If you hero method (use all stat boosters on one character) you get something insane.
