max lobby size? possible multiplayer bug?

i know it seems like an odd question but i've had up to six people be in a lobby at one time. i noticed this as while i was playing with three other friends the host forgot to password lock the server and two more people joined about an hour in. but yet the lobby screen only has 4 visual members at most.

I don't know the answer but I can confirm you're not the only person this has happened to, my friends and I had a couple extra people join us as well. I will say I noticed that the fifth person to join happened to join the lobby while one of us was dead, so perhaps the game didn't register the player slot as being filled due to that? Either way though I've seen the max size be changed to 500 at the highest, although I'm not sure if you can actually have that many people in the game without it crashing though

hm damn. yeah the random's joined whenever my friends were dead too,
