How to deal with big red tongue monster?

Im not sure what his name is and I couldnt really find anything about this monster but how do yall deal with the big monster that crawls around with a big red tongue? He starts dashing/sprinting towards you after alittle bit and I just cant figure it out lols

You go around the licker while its slow, and then run as fast as you can.

His dash attack is only for a couple seconds so give him enough space so that when he stops sprinting you can go around him and run. He takes several seconds to rush again and my group have fairly often fully evaded and lost him by doing this. However in tight spaces if he surprises you you'll probably be done for once he rushes.
