Is mana farming via corrupted shards viable?
I know you can compensate form the damage loss form gems with amplifiers.

But i wonder if you can make a build dedicated to it by gathering loot that boust gather speed, max out amplifiers bonuses and using pure white gems to offset the damage penality...will it be actually good then?

The one at X3 seems the best for trying something like this.

Its probably trash tier compared to R/O/W or D gem combo, but i still wonder if anyone managed to abuse them in a way its more beneficial that your good old farm.

It's about tradeoffs, and whilst you can still have positive mana from farming from corrupted mana shards, the alternative is to put that mana spent into a proper mana farm trap (or even a secondary one)

Perhaps at lower wizard levels it may be beneficial (especially when combined with beam) but at higher levels, put spend it on a mana farm trap.

5 seconds on starter mana farm == millions of mana,
I don't think you can achieve the same with shards.

Corrupted mana shards are capped at 20 millions of mana, really makes no sense to try to farm them.

Farming Currupted shards is a viable way to gain a steady (although not great) supply of mana even during endurance runs, the trick is to have your setup be in two halfs, one kill gem, and one mana gem.

You have the kill gem never ever attack the shard, as it needs to do as much damage as possible (it wont ever attack the shard unles it is set to "buildings" or you select the gem, so dont worry about its range), but the mana farm gem should (idealy) be a single orange and white gem surounded my amps with pure orange gems in, and be set to "buildings", so it will only attack the shard.

For a quick boost, use beam on the mana farm gem for a pretty much instant thousand or so mana.

It's capped, but not quite like that. Your last hit that gets mana will get all it's supposed to.
When I was trying to use one on AG, I had my killgem shoot at it. Only it's first hit got mana, whether it got 13m or 30m.

At low wizard levels farming from a corrupted mana shard can be useful. Because of the cap, though, it's useless for high level play.

So much for *Unlimited*...that alone makes them worthless in the long run.

Indeed you can't.

Form what i gather for those posts, those shards are *barely ok* if you are at a low level.

Too bad those are completely useless after your frist major level jump.

That is a shame....i wish the dev would buff it in some way to make it userfull lategame..or at less mid game.
Too bad it will probably never hapend.
