Greetings from The Shire!
And how many hours do you think I could spend in the game, dear Bilbo?;)
People consider Wizard Level 1000 ´´Mid game´´ and Ive played for 35 hours and Im only Wizard Level 222. This game is amazing and long. Also, very rewarding.
There are some. Steam version has some extra fields, and generally small bits of everything. The Pouch that was a paid stuff in the online version is free there, and there is also an Iron Wizard mode exclusive to the steam version.
You can read about the Pouch and its contents there: http://gemcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Magician%27s_Pouch
Gemcraft for the mix, match and combination possibilities.
You can combine all gems with each other, and create a gem with the effect of multiple color ones.
Mazing - Use Walls/Towers to force the monsters to walk a path you choose
Enrage - Drop Gem Bombs and enrage Waves, to unleash even more Monsters
3 Difficulties per Field, and further modifyable over Battle Traits, such as Waves come faster, more of Wave Type X, or if you feel masochistic, the Hatred Trait, which exponentially kicks up enemy HP
On top of that Skills and Talisman Fragments to play around with and grind for.
Iron Wizard - Instead of going for high scores to generate high xp to level up, you receive 5 Skill Points per beaten Field. (Can really give one a headache)
400+ Achievements
Bloons TD 5 offers a wide variety.
Once you beat all tracks in normal play, you can switch to "Mastery mode", which is supposed to make it harder (yes, it does, and yes, its a grind)
First you level up and unlock Towers/their Upgrades. Winning tracks rewards Monkey Money and Tokens.
Monkey Money can be used to:
hire Agents - a Palette of single use Towers
purchase Specialist Buildings which boost the Abilities of Towers
buy Tokens
Double Money/Banana Farms produce Lives/Increased Village Range
Tokens are used in the Research Lab to gain passive Bonuses, such as more Cash at start, more Lives or faster Attack Speed
Special Missions/Random Missions with limited Tower selection
Dailies in 4 Difficulties, limited to randomized Towers
Multiplayer (2 players)
Bloons TD6 is said to come somewhat later to Steam this year.
Just to throw some things here. Hope i didnt spoiler anything/too much.
Gemcraft pretty much lets you choose/customize how hard you want to go at it. Can experiment a lot here. Some people even go as far as beating all 999 Waves in Endurance Mode including max Enrage every Wave to 999 Monsters.
Bloons TD5 can keep you busy for quiet some time, if you want to go for 100% on all Tracks.
Depending on the Difficulty you choose, the Bloons go fast or slower. Beat 85 Waves with only 1 Life.
[If i stated stuff you already knew, apologies. Personally, once again, i find both of them a solid experience. Not sure price wise, as i was lucky enough to snag them both during Sales]
Thanks everyone for your help!
However, you can look up the steamprofiles for spent hours in a game, *I* played it for thousands of hours... but that's me
Greetings from The Shire!
P.S. @Skullface: Nice description of these games! :Thumb up:
