Report a translation problem
It seems extremely rare but i also had times that i lost my saves form other games too. (Or reverted to a old save, this is why i suspect steam cloud might be an issue.)
Ever since turning steam cloud off, i don't think i ever lost a save after that, unless it's a game in EA...or a mistake in the game save system.
I don't think Gem Combiner was the cause of the save lost, all it does is execute macros.
However maybe the game crashed while trying to save, corrupting it.
Speaking of save safeguard, i think an older GC game let you save with a string of text you could copy and paste, it might be a good way to backup saves.
Again, condolences. Only a game, yet much, much time...
So far along, I wonder what the next GemCraft might hold (in general); hopefully some new fundamentals. And/or an interesting online cooperative... greater strategic-level meta?... .
