More monster is likely to happen, because duh, Storage would be nice, but really you can just yeet everything in the spare room.
However I don't understand what you mean by "permanent progression"? As far as I know, you keep your save so long you don't lose, so what am I missing here?
Nah I am max graphics lol.
Keeping your save isn't permanent. ESPECIALLY if its lost after losing.
Permanent progression would be something like a level, or a skill tree something that will ALWAYS be there after you get it.
Ah, my bad about the graphics then, tho I do mean resolution, not graphic quality (like screen size, default is 640 by 760 or something).
Otherwise, I'd say permanent progression defeats the point of the game. Your whole game is about making it last longer, whislt delving deeper, and to that end the game is already pretty kind to it's players.
Between the stun modules and tools being pretty cheap early on, the ability to regenerate health or to stun everything but one creature that gets rarer over time, the game is pretty kind to us.
Besides the ghost ray, there's essentially nothing that can wipe a decent crew.
Hate how some expeditions have reaper camp the entrance making it impossible to progress
On higher difficulties I can barely explore one room and find out it's already half
Oxygen bottles are your friend, you got a tool slot for a reason. Reaper, that I'll lovingly refer to as Jeff, can be both easily dodged and stunned. Take an emp with you and you are golden.
Jeff isn't the problem, it's when you have a bloody ghost ray because your teammates loves looking at the flickering tv.
