I keep crashing whenever I host
So, I'm having this issue where whenever either my friends or I host, after like 10 min or so, the host suddenly crashes for no discernable reason. I don't know where to find the crash report, so I can't post it now, but will if someone knows where to find it:theskull:

If so, can you try to check the "Reduced network usage" option in the settings and see if it still happens?"

It worked for me.

Have you found a solution for this? I'm having the same issue with the game crashing for whoever is hosting as well.

Thanks for letting us know! If anyone has crash logs and screenshots that would be super helpful.

You can send them in the Discord or at support@embers.games and we'll work on a fix asap!

Really sorry for the inconvenience.

In the meantime does verifying integrity of game files, doing a clean install, or choosing DX11 or 12 help the issue?

Let me know.

Sadly haven't has the chance to test anything yet, but my friend is in talks with a dev/publisher

Me and my group of friends who play this have been experiencing this issue still after trying all of the potential solutions mentioned. They have posted their crash logs and screenshots in the discord and through email. I noticed yesterday when we tried to play that the crashes seemed to be happening quicker and quicker as time went on.

Hey everyone, a new patch was rolled out last night.

Can you tell me if the crashing issue is fixed now?

If it doesn't fix the issue for you, I'd recommend your crew to tick the new "Reduced network usage" (or equivalent in your language) option in the settings, it might help!

No, it keeps crashing whenever me or any friend hosts the game

Just adding to the thread. I do NOT run on DX12. I have crashed maybe 2-3 times while hosting. No obvious cause. Save file is still there. My Internet connection is good and consistent.

I am having the same and here is what and all my 5 friends have when we crash :

Me and my friends did try the game but we keep crashing since last update. It is always the host that crash first, sometimes but rarely other members of the ship.

Here is the similar error we all have :

I did not try yet the launch option "dx11" and the reduced network option".
Mantecol Jan 26 @ 12:32pm
did anyone fix it?
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
Someone from their team answered this on discord : "Hello! Sorry to hear about your crashes, are those still happenning with the latest version?
If so, can you try to check the "Reduced network usage" option in the settings and see if it still happens?"

It worked for me.
