Mech Upgrade Chance
Not sure how to word this, but is the mech upgrade chance a higher percentage in mech 1 and 2? Just wondering if these are a flat % chance or variable based on mech because I got every single upgrade for mech 1 without even getting close to the pity. And on mech 3 I'm on my last upgrade and have hit the pity every time lol. I'm not complaining about it, I'm just wondering if mech 1 has something wrong with it's drop chance being too high.

Well, Mech 1 has the highest drop rates for parts, so it's not that much of a surprise that you have the best chance of getting early part drops for it.

Having to use 'pity' for all the Mech parts after Mech 1 is pretty much expected. With early part drops being a very rare but nice surprise.
Mech % chance it pretty simple:
It's a % value that gets taken from the base amount of kills needed to pity a part.
And yes, the chance to randomly get those parts gets better thanks to it as well.

The 9th part for mech 4 for example takes a whooping 100 million kills, with 80% mech % chance it goes down to 20 million. A number that can be pitied in under 2 days (given a decent kills/ second).

This means the higher your mech % chance already is, the better each additional % gets.

I guess what I don't get about it being a % chance to get it below the pity level is that you should technically have the same chance % wise to get a drop before pity no matter what mech you're on.

The way my drops look right now is that Mech 1 had a 100% drop chance before pity, as I I never even got close to the pity. Mech 2 had a 50% chance to drop before pity and Mech 3 had a 0% chance to drop before pity. It may just be me becoming extremely unlucky during mech 3, but from a strictly mathematical/statistical standpoint the mech 1 drop before pity rate doesn't make sense.

When you say it goes based off the base chance is that before any bonuses are applied? So lets say there's a 0.01% chance to get it before the pity and the base pity is 8 million, but with bonuses I've brought the pity down to 4 million. Is the 0.01% applied to the 8 million or the 4 million?
I'm fine with me being completely unlucky and not getting the drop before pity. I was more just asking if anyone else was having the issue to see if the drop before pity % was actually correct.

The chance to get a part from a kill is listed as the very first number on each part.

A part that for example needs 1 million kills to reach pity would have a quote "Chance to obtain 1/5e5" aka 1 in 500.000 chance listed in the first line.

If your mech chance % value was 50% at that point, and you get another 1% the line in the example above would change to "Chance to obtain 1/4.9e5".

The interesting thing here: the mech part meta has gone in a hilarious direction. People are happy when a part drops really early, but aim to hit pity if it doesn't drop early. Because 5 pity drops equal one free mech token.
Even better, people are looking into ways to always pity the early upgrades. You outright want to pity most mech 1 upgrades unless you have enough mech tokens to get literally all mech upgrades with the tokens.

I realize now how hard it must have been to not call me an idiot because of how far down you had to dumb down something I was SEVERELY over analyzing lol. I appreciate that response and it just clicked in my head how stupid I was being by trying to apply more math than I needed to.
