Any other games like this out there?

Really liked this game. I also played a game called Finders which was alot of fun as well. I love these casual build a base style games I tried a couple others that were really fast pace and I didn't like them such as the hercules games and moai live your dream. Anything out there like Finders and Promised land someone could recommend?

The Virtual Villagers games are a little old but still enjoyable.
Farm Tribe was out quite recently too, but there's still some work to be done, in my opinion. It's still a good game. I'll take a look at Finders. I'm always looking for games like that, but it's pretty rare...
The closer I found, with a RPG twist, was Hero of the Kingdom. The second part is actually in a bundle right now ( https://www.indiegala.com/steamulating ).

Definitely recommend Hero of the Kingdom and its sequel, as ThePhiphi points out. Another one you absolutely must try as it's almost identical to The Promised Land is The Happy Hereafter - exactly the same mechanics, only with a spooky/Halloween theme. Great fun :-)

I liked Finders as well. In fact it was because I was looking for a similar game to Finders that I found this game.

Coconut Queen and Totem Tribe might also be of interest, both excellent casual building games.

Also the Westward series, Artist Colony, Gemini Lost, and Little Folk of Faery.
