It needs mods. But it's alright, kind of meh to be honest. Not as good as S2.

It is strongly recommended to play with the mod, but I'm not sure that it was adapted for the English language.

People who like tactical strategy games like JA?
Putting "Jagged" in the title is a really cheap tactic. Reminds me of mobile crap.

Been waiting for this and 7.62mm! Classics as far as tactical merc strategy games go IMHO. Hopefully it's not just fond memories, but the combat system in both these games was awesome if you're into this style game.

Tell that to Jagged Alliance Back In Action.

That game not only made a disgrace of the series, but also had the official lincense to do it.

Moral of the story: having Jagged in the name is intentional and helps people like me find out about it. Only this time the game seems somewhat good, looks like a mix between Silent Storm and JA, which is a good thing in my book.

Actually I still think of E5 / 7.62 as one of the best realtime-with-pause implementations :). It was really great to plan everything ahead with no action points, but simply time.
Sure, graphics were a bit odd, but tactical gameplay was great. E5 even had a nice multiplayer mode. (Strangely it is missing in Steam description).

Actually I hope there will be some new games with a similar system. (And not this dumbed down JA:BIA system...)

This product It was released in 2005 in Russia, and on 17 October 2006 in North America.
Just so noone thinks this is a new game by any means.
It is not turn based. This is realtime (with pause).
Silent Storm/Silent Storm Sentinels and JA 2 are far superior games that do not deserve the humiliation of being compared to this shovelware named Brigade E5: New Jagged Union.

And as an added bonus, if you disliked Back In Action, chances are you will loathe this "game".
As atrocious as back in action was, this is somehow even worse...

A very good turn based game with a touch of roleplay.
Set in WW2 but with quite afew twist on history and technology (I will not give any spoilers).

Is it just me, or is it kind of offensive how much of a ripoff of Jagged Alliance this is?

Well, at least it's not Back in Action.

Ok time for useless information

The three titles E5 New Jagged Union, Brigade 7.62 High Calibre and Hired Guns - Jagged Edge
were planned as a sequel to Jagged Alliance known as Jagged Aliance 3/3D and were also developed with the Jagged Alliance license.
The license was withdrawn in each case in the Late beta stage because of the bad quality of the software. A few weeks after the withdrawal of the license they were under new names Released.

For E5 and 7.62 you can still find files on the Jagged Aliance suggest including the name for the character models.

Sorry bad Englisch

Correction: Jagged Alliance fans who were not infomred that this is not an actual Jagged Alliance game and is, in fact, merely a very, very poor imitation of one.

I see.

Well, still looking for a proper sequel for JA2. Probably not going to find one.
