you either aim a bit higher up in the air and then press g, or you actually walk up behind the car interect with the car so the little trunk door open up and then you press g to throw it on easier.

I had this issue and went to watch a youtube streamer. THE BAG IS IN THE ELEVATOR! You have to pick it up from there and put it in the truck.
