I saw the game today in steam page and wishlisted thinking looked nice and nostalgic at the same time, so i would give it a go, but this game is not a standalone thing, should i get all those entries from earlier games too? Or is it fragmented into pieces like a series with season 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5?

You can play them all out of order, they're completely separate stories. The first one, Home Alone is free.

If you get all of them one thing that triggers my inner monk is, that the first 3 are called Episode 1-3 and after that they have a "name" instead of episode numbers haha
