Turn off auto-aim and unusually low difficulty
I want to turn off those features since I like the game better without them but you can't seem to disable either. You could play the original without auto-aim on PC. If you can't turn off the auto-aim, I might just stick to the original release until someone mods it out.

Edit: Also the game seems significantly easier. Enemies that were originally tough to deal with now seem to die almost immediately, even on Very Hard. Disappointing.

I know they also increased the amount of supplies apparently.

I do wish we got difficulty options for this as I actually felt the original was too MP5 ammo-happy.

That said original game *completely* stopped time at the inventory screen (which you can still access with I)

I agree, although my main issue is that every enemy dies so much faster than the original. A lot of the intensity is lost since "tough" enemies aren't really tough anymore.
Edit: Huh, didn't know that it completely stopped time. My memory was wrong.

it's adjusted for the modern audience

They could still make it a setting.

I'm ok with adding easier difficulties but if you change it with no options you run the risk of doing the Doom 3 BFG thing where the game is now far too easy.

We couldn't turn the autoaim OFF in the Dark Forces Remaster, we can't here either???

WTF Nightdive. Was about to buy it, guess I'm not anymore.

they should just toggle between classic and modern gameplay. And then an Insane mode thats harder than the original

It's weird because the original PC port allows you to play without autoaim.

Fully agreed, it'd be nice to get a difficulty mode that's higher than the original for extra intensity.

We do have difficulty settings in the options menu it only effects health values.

Doesn't seem to affect it heavily though; Enemies still died significantly faster than on the original, specifically larger monsters

Auto-aiming and low difficulty?! My worst fears have come true.(

This is a complete dealbreaker to me. I looked forward to this game, but this way i won't buy it.

So I wasn't just imagining things. Everything die way to easy now. It's making the game a cakewalk.

I just launched the original release and I can confirm: you need to spend 2-3 times less flamethrower fuel to burn bigger things like the crawlers in the remaster.

I booted up the original game as well to confirm. Same here on my end, consistent across all three versions of the original (base, 1.1 and 1.2)
