why remaster this game?

I mean the game is not bad but pretty mediocre, they really should went the remake treatment because the property has a lot of potential for a good survival horror, but this is just pure mindless action.

Well the original game was a classic in some peoples minds, maybe that was all the devs were intending for. Whilst a remake might not end up being any good at all, it could easily change everything and make the game worse just saying. I liked the original game and a simple remaster is fine, don't fix what isn't broken.

Its cheaper to remaster, probably not a big enough budget to do a remake. These devs mostly do remasters, its their thing.
