Original OST Mod???
Might it possible to get original soundtrack working on this game. It is nonsense playing a game based on the movie whose music was so iconic, (I presume it is due to some lucense rights)

Is there anu plan to mod the mudic of this game to add the original one from the movie???

I hope so

The original OST didn't include the films score.

The only time the movies score was used was in the original trailer - so the original team had the rights to it for that trailer release but didn't have the rights to use it in the game.

I know, but I meant if there is any chance for having a mod with the film's sounds and music included into the game

You can't mod licenced music into a game - that would be piracy.

Bro, you never used mod i think. Modding is illegal in the first place, since you're breaking ToU (since you alter the product and thus is illegal)

We still do it, because it's the norm and most devs doesn't really give much attention to it.

Modding is certainly not illegal. Distributing copyrighted music, however, is definitely illegal per the DMCA. I'm not weighing in on whether or not it's right, but that's the way it is.

Maybe use Tabletop Audio's The Thing Inspired music. The "Outpost 31" track while legally distinct from the Thing main theme hits all of the same buttons.

I mean, modding still is copyright infringement. Devs don't want to punish it because..

1. they don't think it's bad
2. because it adds replayability
3. because it's free.

Music mod is illegal as much as it is for modding. the only different is that music mods break two laws (copyright infringement and DMCA)

Anyway, who cares just mod the game the way you want. except if you're streaming it on twitch that's gonna give you issues.

if I "can't" then explain how i replaced the morrowind soundtrack with another game's soundtrack downloaded from youtube-mp3 because i was tired of listening to morrowind music. Nobody gives a ♥♥♥♥ about arbitrary copyright rules unless they're making something commercially, which modders aren't.

Doesn't matter if it's commercial, what matters is if you're distributing it to others.

Modded lots of times the problem comes with distributing licenced music freely, you can't do it.

That's unlawful.

Just go on youtube and look up Saliva, as for mods there is still a famous site called Nexus, that contains last time I checked (7 mods) I think this may also include a change of OST mod.
