A Remake - What would you want?

Personally I think I would want a game that really honed in on the feel of the film, I'd like something similar to Alien Isolation where you're a vulnerable character trying to survive the situation - you have access to a small cache of weapons which can slow the creatures down but very few ways in which to take them down easily (burning them would be a requirement.)

I'd like it to be non-linear with branching story, multiple characters COULD be the thing every playthrough and you don't really know what's going off.

Alien Isolation style gameplay would fit really well - you could introduce human enemies in the form of paranoid researchers/soldiers and towards the end of the game perhaps clean up crews similar to what we got in the 2002 release.

I would love a sequel to the Thing, it would be amazing to play a game like that, I would imagine it to be very scary until you get a gun lol. But yea that would be amazing, who knows maybe someday, hopefully the thing 2 is still possible, I would like to think it is still is but I know years ago, back in the early and mid 2000s it got cancelled so yea.

1st rule to make a The Thing videogame would be to not make it like this joke of a shooter, this is the most important rule btw

All we need is the canceled The Thing 2. I think Computer Artworks still have the files and the code of the game (i am not sure). I saw some images of The Thing 2 (creatues, scenarios) and i was impressed how good the sequel should have been. New type of mutations as well
