Got it for less than 2€ with a sale. Tried 1 hour in 2 players co-op. It's boring, buggy. Refunded.

Its not the same
the original The Thing game is third person,
this here is first person view completely differerent games to play.

I got it for like 2$ on a sale, it's a broken buggy mess. Will see if they fix it up for the full release or just abandon it. Doesn't bode well when a game in EA is already being sold for that cheap.

It's a great time, and really well-made, dripping with atmosphere. You can also play it solo and customise server settings, but playing with others who can control the creatures after they die can be a funny treat.

I cringe each time I see someone shotty something upclose and seeing the parasites cover them.

Its buggy but there's many tense moments and plenty of laughter that makes me forgive its shortcomings. Idk if I'd really enjoy it with just randoms; playing with buds helps a lot.
