Dungeons are randomized on each new game, but will be persistent for that character's entire run (unless there is a bug or some kind of corruption to the save files).
IMO, too much RNG devalues the experience. Some games take it way too far. It's nice to have unique and interesting differences each playthrough, but a static overworld sounds like a solid design decision.
Like Energist says have unique and interesting differences each playthrough would be interesting without a whole random setup...
is the game playable on steamdeck btw
