Sound crackle?

The in-game sound effects seem to have a crackling effect to them, is this normal? I don't remember 1.0 having this issue :(

Hi, I haven't noticed a crackle in the sound effects, but you may be hearing the sound of the flames/torches? They make a crackling "fire" sound.

Yeah I just started playing this game. And that sound crackling is really annoying. It makes me keep thinking something is wrong with my sound-card. There must be a way to change the sound in the directory? Interesting to know its the torches.
