It seems I lost my saved games...
Hi,

It seems I have a problem. I played for almost 3 hours, was, I think, really near the end (I unlocked 22 videos) and I had to quit the game. Now, when I start it, I can see "play" and "new game" only, no "continue". And if I try to see the videos, I only see the very first ones. As if it's the very first time I launch the game.

I have to say that in game, I never had to save the game, I only saw an icon, from time to time, "telling" me that it was saving.

There's no Steam Cloud associated with this game (yet?), so can someone tell me where the save location is, please? Just to see if I can find something or if I'm screwed...

Update: I found the following path: C:\Users\xxx\AppData\LocalLow\E_Line Media\Never Alone but it is empty. I'm not sure this is normal...

Fire: don't take it the wrong way, but I'm glad I'm not alone in this case ^^ (and last info: when I stop the game WITHOUT quitting it (I just go to the menu), I can continue the game, see the extra videos, the chapters unlocked, etc. So yes, this is weird).

Exactly the same, but I have two computers and I installed the game on my laptop and the backup seems to work, but the file is still empty.

Don't worry, I am also glad not be the only one to have this problem there. (ps : sorry for my english imperfect)

Pour ce que j'en vois, ton anglais vaut à peu près le mien ^^

J'ai envoyé un e-mail au support, ils ont l'air d'être super réactifs. On verra bien...
Ha, en français c'est beaucoup mieux pour moi.

Je viens à l'instant d'envoyer le mien de mail.

J'ai deux ordi dont un portable, je joue sur le fixe, mais j'ai testé sur le portable et sur celui là la sauvegarde c'est faite.
Les deux ont Steam à jour et je les lancent direct en Administrateur tout le temps. Celui sur lequel la sauvegarde ne fonctionne pas est sous W7 alors que mon portable sous W8 (et il galère, atteindre la première cinématique après l'ours à été assez difficile, je ne peux donc pas faire le jeu en entier dessus.
Par contre le dossier, dans le chemin cité, est vide, quelque soit l'ordinateur, donc s'il y a une sauvegarde elle se fait ailleurs.
Mais je doutes que ce soit sur le cloud, vu que de retour à mon PC fixe la sauvegarde du Portable n'était pas présente.

Par contre j'ai remarqué une petite fenêtre de fin d'installation quand j'ai lancé le jeu sur mon PC portable, elle n'est pas apparu sur mon PC fixe, et pourtant après les deux premières pertes de sauvegarde j'ai désinstallé le jeu, supprimé manuellement le dossier E_Line Media, réinstallé le jeu qui a recréé le dossier, mais je ne l'ai jamais eu sur le PC qui ne sauvegarde pas.

On verra bien les retours qui nous seront donnés.

Haven't got any problem with my saves and I am already almost to the end trying to run away from the ice giant but there is a tricky part that makes it tough ^_^

I was just mentioning that in my game side, I don't have the "save game" problem and I was just mentioning where I am at the game so that you can pin point the problem. Just thought that even the little info (even if it isn't that important) would help ^_^"

astrea: indeed, you're not helping, but I can see you're full of good will, so thank you ^^ (in fact, I stopped to play in this section of the game... so really near the end). And, hey, if you can find a save game somewhere, you're welcome to share it!

Fire: mon problème de sauvegarde touche un PC sur lequel est installé Windows 7 aussi. Et pour le coup du dossier vide, je ne peux pas garantir qu'une sauvegarde devrait s'y trouver (apparemment non) mais je n'ai pas trouvé d'autre chemin en tout cas. J'ai envoyé mon rapport Dxdiag au support, mais je ne vois pas trop ce qu'ils vont pouvoir trouver avec...

Are we allowed to share save game files or does this fell into any rules from the devs and/or Steam?

If we are allowed, is the: "sharedassets20.assets" the save file?

The thing is: we don't know where the save game is (at least, I don't know)! I think it should be a ".sav" or ".save" file, but I'm not sure...
