Thanks for releasing a Linux version, bought it instantly.

Unfortunately my controller does not work as expected. In order to run left or right, I have to press up or down on the directional pad. This does not make it easy to escape in the first scene. ;)

it's really great news, thank you!))

Nice to see the Linux/SteamOS appear just in time for the holiday sale :)

So far for me the game installed and started fine (video, sound, fullscreen, …), but the gamepad support is buggy: my (wired) Xbox 360 controller is detected properly and buttons seem to work fine, but sticks do not.
Navigating the menus with left stick works, but changing the options does not.
In game, moving does not work with the left stick (the right trigger works for going right, but that's about it).
Also I only tried the first level so far, but did not feel the controller rumble.

Controller works fine in other Linux games on Steam (Gentoo 64-bit, nvidia with binary drivers)

In another Linux post, there was this report too:

Buttons work, but the stick don't, same problem with 2 controllers on Ubuntu.

Oh wow, what a lovely winter surprise. I'd've missed this, though, if I hadn't been scrolling through all of the sale items. The announcement should have been all over my activity feed. Now to get Never Alone into my library. Thank you for coming to Linux, folks. :ss2heart:

Sound works at the beginning but only for about 20 seconds. Seems as if the audio device is just being closed. The error seems to appear mostly when the game switches from video to gameplay or vice versa.

I can't move the character forward, not with Xbox 360 wireless stick nor Steam Controller. Keyboard controlle works, but only if I don't try to use one of the controllers.

My system (Ubuntu 15.10 64bit with Nvidea gpu) is working fine with other games. But this game feels like a pre-alpha version on my system. I hope, you can fix the problems. Please tell me if you need some logs.

Does pressing up/down on the controller work for you?

No, it is kind of strange. At the beginning I was able to move up and down in the menu with left and right of the stick. But that is not reproducible.

As I can map the Steam Controller to keyboard buttons, the broken gampad support is not a showstopper for me, but the broken audio playback is definitly a showstopper. Am I the only one with these kind of sound problems?

mrpi, for some reason the game wouldn't launch properly for me – i.e. audio gets initialised, but then an interminable black screen – until I relaunched Steam. After that, it's been fine, although the lighting / shadows seems to be screwed up somewhat on my Intel HD Graphics 4600.

Thank you for the the Linux version! It runs great, it's very entertaining and I've learned a lot! Awesome visuals as well! I'm enjoying it very much!

Awesome! I've been hoping for this on Linux for a long time. Just purchased it, going to play it over the holidays. Thanks for the release!

Regarding the lighting / shadows bug, I've taken a couple of screenshots of it. This is happening on Arch Linux with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 (driven by mesa-11.0.7 for OpenGL 3.3 compliance) in an i5-4210M.
Fix for the gamepad issues:

Right-Click the game in your library, click "Properties", "Set launch options" and enter
LC_ALL=C %command%
OK and close and have fun :)

Just bought it, but does anyone have an issue with graphics on linux version? (radeon, free drivers). It's a bit annoying.
