Fatal Error: The application lost the device context!
Hey all, and hopefully hello gamedev, I was playing the game two days ago, everything was fine, no problems what so ever. I had to wrap up, so I saved and closed the game, and just now when I open the game to play, this comes up:
https://sta.sh/0axnfm1zxkv

Initially the smaller window with 'the floor is loading' comes up, like usual, and then it goes to... this. I can't click anything, no buttons do anything, I have to use task manager to close the game. The only thing is that I can highlight/select the text, and the character is vibrating up and down.

Even if there's no known solution to this, does anyone know what's happened? I know the save data has to be with my steam account since I played the game on my old laptop, and when I played it on my new one it still had all my data, and uninstalling/manually deleting the local data for the game off my laptop doesn't work. I don't know how to remove the game data from my account, not without possibly having to remove the game itself? Which I haven't done before so I don't know what the result would be of that.

I was able to continue by deleting the local cloud save file while in offline mode, so that the game will startup using the save file in the user folder:

1. Set Steam to Offline mode

2. Delete the cloud save files in the local userdata folder
...\Steam\userdata\<steamID>\295750\
(Delete both the remotecache.vdf file and the jellySave file in the remote subfolder, or move them elsewhere to keep as a backup.)

3. Launch the game. If it starts properly, bounce through any window, then save & exit.

4. Set Steam to Online mode

5. Launch the game, again. It should sync the newly created local cloud save file.

If you still get the error, then you may have to also delete (or move) the "user" save file during step 2, and start the game again from the beginning.

Thank you so much!! I'm super happy to be able to pick up the game again, this fixed the problem just fine! Also super glad to not have to start all over again. That would have been a pain, I'm pretty far in...
