In real football you'll find most teams ARE running at a loss. Any specific issues you're having with examples I'd suggest raising on our bugs forum which can be found here - http://community.sigames.com/forumdisplay.php/417
Thanks.
CaMeL - it's clear you either don't know how to play the game or just don't watch football, either way I suggest you learn if you want to play a game called 'Football Manager'
1. Players do go at a snail pace for attackers to run from 30 - 40 yards away and beat them to it. It happens at least once in every game.
2. Injuries happen I agree, happens in every day football all the time but season on season I have found consistently high levels of long term injuries. With different teams in different leagues with different staff running those. I had 4 players injuried in my last game. Now couple that the the "Buy Magic Spounge" button and it doesnt take too much to link an overactive injury system with more ingame purchases.
3. Likewise with the Losses. I am aware a lot of clubs operate at a loss, yet most clubs still spend spend spend on bringing players in, the current system doesnt allow me to do that. But it does again offer me the ability to "Boost my bank balance"
4. A lot of the newly added roles dont work, Inverted Full Backs for one. You cant tell the difference between an inverted full back and a normal one.
5. You say that my players dont react any differently to computer controlled, yet I've seen 2 of my players standing next to each other with acres of space around them, yet they basically decide to mark each other. You will say thats because Im telling them to occupy the same space Attacking midfielder attack and deep lying forward support.... However show me a time in real life where 2 players will sit on the half way line within 2 yards of each other having a chat.
I could go on and on, I would rather not comment on the Community Si games forum as its too heavily moderated, and I think people/consumers/purchasers deserve to know that you have basically taken a broken match engine stuck some new roles on it that dont work and called it your most complete match engine ever that actually is worse than 2012 still!!
I have played FM games since championship manager italia 95? Every year I have purchased them, to say I dont know how to play football manager games and/or dont know football is basically a joke. Don't want to admit the point so belittle the source.
You don't have to buy any add-ons. Play the normal version if you're that worried about paying for optional extras. You can't buy add-ons in that version and you still suffer the realistic amount of injuries that you do in classic mode.
Complain about stuff with actual evidence, don't just make stuff up it's crazy.
Inverted Fullbacks don't work properly right now but SI are hoping to get that fixed for release. That's the only role that is known to not function properly and is, somewhat unsuprisingly, the only one you mention in your very short list of roles that do no work. So I think we can discount that point fairly easily.
What club spends spends spends these days? Have you not been keeping up with modern day football? FFP rules exist now which means you can't do that anymore, hence Man City and Chelsea's decrease in expenditure.
Injuries are now at a more realistic level. It might take a while in learning how to avoid them. Football manager is a simulator, not a casual game so you'll just have to learn if you want to play it.
The match engine is still being worked on but if you expeirencing bugs then you should post them at the SI forum so they can fix them for release. You decided to play the Beta version, what's the point in moaning if you aren't going to give them evidence to help them fix the issue.
I despair I really do. People these days clearly aren't even capable of reading or expressing displeasure in any other way than angry posts on forums which at the end of the day doesn't help anyone.
Dont think I havent given this new engine a test, i've clocked up 25 hours in games.
I stand by my original statement, the game is broken. If I had played a demo before purchasing I would not have purchased.
I still would advise all thinking of buying to not buy. Wait for demo, see who is right.
Good for you that you've bought all the previous ones, but it's not really relevant.
I've pretty much debunked your original statement and you haven't come up with a single reply yet so how you 'stand by' a load of rubbish I don't know.
The demo is already out, and people are deciding for themselves. It would be helpful if you actually put forward a legitmate argument as to why you think it's not worth buying, rather than what you've posted so far.
No one's saying the games perfect or immune to criticism but you're not going about it in a way that's going to help anybody.
It ante perfect atm, and perhaps won't ever be but don't posion other peoples minds with unbased drivel. It will get better, as all FM games have, they grow.
