Are Older Versions Removed?
Hello,

I am interested in getting the game, but I'm worried about getting my money's worth out of it, even if it is on sale right now. I was looking for an older version on steam to try, and while Football Manager 2014 is listed to have been on Steam in the past, it appears that it no longer is now. Do they remove any old versions as soon as the new one comes out? If so, do the old versions that have already been bought still work properly?

I'm just not sure if this game will ever have the non-sale price reduced, or will just be removed from steam entirely. Thanks in advance for any input!

dont know about steam but you can get older version on places like amazon etc for cheap and you can activate using the code in the box on steam

Sorry for not being clear, I am wondering if Football Manager 2015 will remain in the steam store once Football Manager 2016 comes out, with its base price being reduced like most games (like NBA 2K14 for example), or if it will be removed from the steam store like it appears the 2014 version has.

Related to that, if it is removed from the store, will it remain playable to those who have already bought it?

Being new to the series I am just unsure of how it all works, most other franchises don't remove previous installments from steam.

Even when it is removed from the store, you can continue to play the game. But yes, it will be removed from the store.

When a game is removed from the store, those who own it can still install it and play.
Usually...
But i'm interested in this question, I have a similar reflexion upon buying an older version.

Well yes, once it is removed, you cannot buy it and play it anymore, given you don't buy a physical copy or a old key. But you can still play older versions on Steam if you have bought them when they're available.

You can buy disk copies and still play them I have FM 2012 up to 14 on disk.
