Sonic Rumble

Sonic Rumble

Will Rumble be playable on Steam Deck?
With Kernel Aniticheat being listed, will playing on the Deck be possible? I'd love to be able to play this in handheld form.

it should be if they don't use kernel level anti cheat. I personally won't touch this game if it uses kernel level anti cheat. Imagine cheating in Sonic Rumble of all games LMAO this isn't an eSport title.

The game apparently uses a kernel-level anti-cheat called "Uncheater", so it will likely not work on the Steam Deck. There's another thread about the anti-cheat here in the Steam forum about it, but the developers have been pretty opaque about actually answering any questions about it. Generic canned responses that don't actually address whether or not the game will be functional on the Steam Deck or Linux in general.
What could be possible is installing tiny11 on your steam deck, since a boot menu is available for other operating systems to run in it, meaning sonic rumble may be possible on the steam deck.

I looked into the anti-cheat, and I cannot get a clear answer. That said, kernel-mode doesn't always break Proton as certain anti-cheats can still load into the "virtual kernel" that the Wine environment provides.

Verified, so they got the anti-cheat working on Linux I guess
