Your favourite histories from the Bronze Age
This game has peaked my interest in this period, before this I had a general knowledge of the Bronze Age period.

There are really a rich history, even if often controversial or sparsley attested. If I had to pick, Anatolia is the most interesting. You have lots of Paralells between Rome in Hatti, Mesedi being a Praetorian Guard of Hatti. Frequent civil wars, intrigue. Or how Hatti has a few times pulled a rabbit out of it's *** and come back from the brinck of a total wipe out. They got once chased to an enclave at Samuha, having lost all of their homeland with the situation looking seriously dire.

Then you have the broader realm of vassals, in Canaan Hatti sometimes had to mediate, bc somebody's sister, who were married to a king, then cheated, got caught and fled to hers brothers Kingdom. Her brother was King too. Guess what was about to happen due to this Lady.

Then you have the Lukka, Hayasa and much more. Egypt, Greece and Mesopotamia is interesting but they feel more foreign.

Whats your favourites?

The entire New Kingdom era of Egypt, of which this game marks the decline, is fascinating. I'm also interested in the Hittites, Babylonians and Assyrians - although the Assyrians reached their height in the early Iron Age, which is a little outside this game's scope. Other than the obvious religious links, I would like to research more on the Canaanites.

As for the Hittites and their capital, Hattusha is usually seen as their main capital city, although as you state, they had other important cities too - like Nesa which gave rise to the name they gave their language, 'nesili'. The fact that archaeologists still don't know the location of Tarhuntassa is interesting - maybe one day we will find it.

Yes, I've remade most Anatolian place names for my mod, dug through research papers, maps, books and I have maybe five candidates for every erroneously named settlement in Anatolia, in many older works Nerik too is place further south or east from where it actually is. And this we know bc it has recently been found, which is the case for a minority, especially when talking about northern and eastern Anatolia.

Though isn't the in-game 1205 bc the peak power moment for the New Kingdom? :D Only after Merneptah's death, the civil wars and golden spoon boy, Ramesses 3 does it start going down hill? :D
Seriously though, I wonder what drama actually went down during this time, like did Tausert, Seti and Bay form a triumvirate or what was Ramesses the great's responsibility in how things ended for the New Kingdom.

Tutmosis the 3rd campaigns and Sargon of Akkad, but the later is not covered. Too far away in time.

Octavian, we know this is your alt account. Stop trying to push this bogus narrative about Rome’s origins – we all know you’re just trying to rewrite history to suit your own agenda.

I wish! It would've been cool to have been there at Philippi to have seen him on that pony[i.ytimg.com] he called an horse. Plus it would be an serious insult to Hatti and the Mesedi, to have their reputation dragged through the dirt via association. Have some hillbilly Latins claim decent from the noble institution of Lugalgal or the inferior peasant Praetorias be the descendants of Hatti. However, even startups like epic fail Romans and Octavian need a role model, so ofc their trying to imitate the greatness of Hatti.

I don't think he is trying to rewrite history of the Romans. You can tell it because he is not using dactylic hexameter, which would be the proper form.
