Is game good now folks?
I only played a bit of Shogun, had some fun around 2 hours, then bought Three Kingdoms but only played around the same as Shogun, but Egypt is my favorite setting, is the game worthy of buying now?
Since is my favorite i am inclined to give it a shot and really play this time, if the game is playable and good now, what you say?

oh yeah it has been for a while. Esp if you like Egypt as a setting. Just know that the resource system is more involved and you will need to cover your costs by having lots of barter agreements (which actually help a lot to keep neighbors neighborly). Before I knew that I struggled with resources trying to make them all on my own.

Plus for different experience, you can also play the legacy version, which lacks the Aegean and Mesopotamia, so is even more Egypt flavoured - and the Sea People are much more of a threat. It's all good.

Once vanilla gets boring there are several mods to try ;)

It’s not bad. If Egypt is your favorite setting it’s definitely worth trying.

Since Dynasties update, yes it is good. The AI is decent by CA standards, there are a lot of cool campaign mechanics, the resources feel scarce, sieges are not annoying, battles are good

Unit variety could be higher though.

No. It's the same bad engine and same bad AI with a new but terrible coat of paint on it. Save your money.

For the current 50% off sale price ($20), it's a steal.
