TW Dynasties sucks
No learning curve, loss after loss no matter what faction I play. who designed the difficulty levels im playing on the lowest and it should be a cake walk. spend all my time trying to support my beginning army with trades only to be outmatched from the start.

Skill issue, i have yet to lose campaign in Pharaoh...... AI in Total War games is notoriously under-performing with worst offenders being warhammer 3, empire total war and Attila....
You basically have to run around with crap stacks for most of the game and trade constantly.
can you explain your army situation and the battle it lost in?

Keep in mind. This game as Three Kingdoms needs diplomacy, trade, balancing out dangers which was in my eyes refreshing.

Breaking with Seti as Tausret in a non honorable way = you get mostly attacked. Getting stronger and being patient = "easy victory"

Sucks as long as the bugs don't get fixed.
What's your previous experience with total war games? Is this your first total war?
I feel ya just got the game and it's loss after loss. Doesn't matter how many battles I win my economy gets me every time. All it takes is losing 1 settlement then slow attrition to a loss. Still like the game and still learning but dam is it hard on normal. Keep your head up and don't give up eventually we'll get there. :steamhappy:

Focus purely on workforce early on and it's incredibly easy. It's easy to see your dwindling resources and think you need to focus building to develop resource production but you'll end up bottlenecked by workforce. So you should focus all your building on workforce (ideally choose buildings which have both food and workforce when possible) You often have enough points early on to upgrade the primary slot and then build the blue chain workforce building as well.

Many people would argue with me but the the multi-resource economy is actually simpler than gold economy used to be.
Try starting out as Amenmesse. You've essentially only got enemies in one direction (north) and you're far from the Sea Peoples. That, combined with superior archers, makes for a relatively chill and enjoyable experience.

That's not the issue I run into it's if I lose 1 city then it's down hill from there. The economy is so weak no matter who I play as. Not sure how workforce helps me when I have no bronze or somehow my gold is gone and I'm negative on every thing. Other Total Wars I never had this problem with economy and surviving. Now I kinda see why this one has such a low play pop. Thanks for trying to help me o7.

workforce helps you because when youre not stuck waiting 'x' turns for just 1 building which only helps with 1 resource. When you have the workforce to build 3 buildings at once youre able to actually make progress towards that slow economy. Before in TW gold was for buildings, upkeep, recruitment, agents etc.. if you didnt have enough gold then you couldnt do anything. Now as long as you dont NEED to build anything immediately then you can have 0 stone.. It doesnt matter. Its only used for buildings. You dont have to worry about 0 stone when recruiting units. When you really take this in, you realize how ridiculously youre able to take advantage of the AI..

In Pharaoh. Gold is barely even used. Its a couple random buildings and elite units.. which you dont need early on - thats it. But its value to the AI is huge... AKA you dont need gold for anything and can trade way in your favor for whatever you do need. Apply that principle to the other resources - when you realize that theyre only used as basic currency for 1 category (except wood) and youll realize your economy that appears weak isnt at all

and...

workforce is the key to this because being able to build multiple buildings at once means youre able to get enough resources that youre able to exploit in trade against AI. Once you do it youll be beating yourself up for it before because itll feel so painfully simple

I win but it's tiring cuz there's too many things to check b4 u make a turn. Just be skilled enough and think harder.
Sun Tzu's the Art of War, might be useful...:). Be more selective with your starting choice (and the corresponding situation on the map).

you find the game hard, everyone here finds it hard to think also,

or a single person would have told you:

THERES NEW CAMPAIGN SETTING TO ADJUST ANYTHING YOU WANT, STRUGGLE WITH ECONOMY? GIVE YOURSELF A HIGHER STARTING BUDGET AND REDUCTION IN UPKEEP.
