High level/ uniue gear
Has someone figured the best option to steal enemy leaders unique gear? I would like to play a campaign and get all the unique leader artifacts, but the stealing chance is very low and to be honest I didn't had success till now... :(

Is there a known way to boost that option and or is it possible to farm some not unique but rare items?

No.... rare items are based on achievements such as land conquest and the court you represent

you might not be able to steal unique items linked to some condition like court items, but you could steal anything else.

the main tip is have as many generals in a single battle, each one can have a chance to steal, 3 generals in one battle can get 3 items. then obviously stacking the steal chances. i got to a point of getting 2-4 items every battle, then you also have a problem of too many items.

the sea ppl, with iolaos can get up to 50% bonus chance to get a unique from certain cities, doing that and not capturing the city, waiting for the cool down to come back would be a way to farm them.

then the cheating option, enable fully equipped generals, recruit, take all the gear and disband them.

honestly i would just play normally, the main thing is the gear type, if you need a bow or chariot, i cant remember getting any unique for equipment.

If you play as an Egyptian faction, and choose the legacy of Hatshepsut the Merchant, you can trade for items. In a Ramesses campaign, I followed Iskar's advice and chose Hatshepsut. This allowed me to trade resources for ancillaries, including one or two unique items. This won't get you the unique items of enemy leaders - even so, if you're interested in other ways to get rare and unique items, it may be worth considering.

Hi Alwyn,

yes I played the last 30h+ with the Hatshepsut legacy. It is the onliest option where you can sell/ give away douzens of unusable items. The perseus legacy would be helpful too, but giving three items away each 10 rounds is nothing. :(
I wanted to test some game mechanics and changed something in the game files for having "unlimited" armies. I ended up with over 30 armies and fully equiped generals. I married each one of them and now i have many useless items thx to Hatshepsut I could give them fast away).
Sadly at this point now, I have no idea how to get unique leader items. Some troy shields for example would suit Suppilupiluma well. ;) Maybe the game files could help me here again...?!

Hi Defmonkey,

I hope to find some items now in the game files, maybe it is possible to give the gear to the Hatshepsut legacy trading cities.^^

Hello Shogun,

thx for the three generals idea. I played my Hatspepsut campaign now over 30h and fought all battles alone.

Yes, I have between 60-80 useless items to give away, and it will become more and more... ;)

I haven't played the Iolaos campaign before, but maybe I could implement their faction ability to the Hittite one with the help of the db editor.

Thanks all of you for your ideas and help. Actually I will try to change something in the game datas and maybe on that way it would be possible to give the special gear to every leader. ;)
