Just Survive

[DEFINITION] Pay To Win [p2w, pay 2 win]
"Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying."

"Games that allow you to use real currency for ANY in-game advantage. "

Does not matter if you use the currency for yourself or other people,
Does not matter if you fail or win,

======================================================

A few people do not understand what Pay To Win actually means, so I help them by providing the difference. I believe the main problem is that they trust the developers over the player base which of course will conflict since Developers only want to push their game however player base want to support the players.

Point is, please stop the ignorance.

You can spend real money in-game for the chance to gain the advantage. Somebody WILL get that spawned advantage. obviously the odds are tipped in your favour.

Seriously? Sigh,

- You control the spawn time (day, night, weather, time etc.)
- You control the spawn area (does not matter how large or small)
- You control how many people are in your group
- You control how many drop (percentage win is still win)

If you are smart enough, if you are willing and if you learn the game. YOU WILL GET THAT DROP, it is just a matter of time before you understand the concept.

Everyone that rode in on the hype train seems to be pissed off now. I am sure glad I did not buy that ticket :)

Trash game. Liars as devs. Game mechanics are broken. It's just a really bad game.

please remove game from market and reported for false advertising on not putting weapons in p2w option.
You paid to get the game before people who don't. Extra game time is an advantage over those who haven't played. All paid early access is pay to win according to your definition.

Maybe, Awesome you are learning :).

However since most games global reset on release your in-game advantage has been lost and now the only advantage that remains is knowledge at which point people who have researched the game online or watched streams will have pretty much the same if not exactly the same experience depending on effort.

Some games also offer head starts which as the name suggests is a buyable advantage but since this is normally only time related you are not getting a massive advantage over the next person since all they have to do is beat your time to win and will result in a balanced game. (absolutely zero spawned in items)

Bit off-topic but I like the disucssion :).

FYI it is not MY definition.

And this is a definition from where? It looks like the rest of what you've written in this discussion, with some random quotes around it to try and give it some weight.

I'm not saying I don't agree with your definition, just the way it was presented.

Grasping at straws with the failing argument that airdrops are p2w?

If you get no advantage and in fact stand to give a hostile player an advantage then it is not pay to win. And in fact in most cases all an air drop does is make it pay to lose for you if you fail to get the gear from it, because if the horde of zombies that comes with the air drop doesnt kill you then the player who looted the drop you paid for will...

The player with the advantage can die just as easily as the player without. So the people paying for Air Drops, let them because either two sceanrios play out:

1) They only play when they have protection
2) Play with no protection, die and lose thier stuff.

Thats the choice they make.
