I've been watching all Ultra setting planet side 2 videos to get an idea of how this game will grow through alpha.

Because the DayZ engine is easy to hack. I can hack and take videos of it and post them on the DayZ forums and the Devs don't ban me. I doubt i'll be able to hack the forgelight engine let alone have Sony look the other way. So in my opinion, DayZ engine is better, and will have better gameplay.
