I'm trying to give a shovel to Professor Sprout, but there's a bug where the red box doesn't appear.

That red box suppose to be in the right corner? Where there was a "Dark Magic" plant on the wall that reveals a gold brick?
For me it didn't just "appear" at some point - it was always there. And it does need a Dark Magic to break.
Any chance you broke it before while breaking other 2 Dark Magic things there?
If so - idk what could've happened to the shovel and what to do now.
But - I don't think it should affect game completion. After all, all that Sprout does after getting it is going around and digging some studs few times.
