Unless you are playing on the highest difficulty setting with AI, cause then he is straight up cheating. Personally I found it works best to fight him at a "poking" distance, aka far enough that only your farthest reaching normal can hit him.
Don't do unsafe ♥♥♥♥.
No, really. Tager is a grappler. His entire gameplay (at least, prior to CP) revolves around gimmicks and punishment. You ever use Musou Senshouzan or Musou Tousshugeki and have it blocked? Instant B Gigantic Tager Driver. Ever hop in the air and just pull out a Swallow Moon? Atomic Collider pls. Sitting in the corner spamming nomal drives with Lamda? lol B Sledge. You see Tager using Voltec Charge and come in with an air attack? Hammer on contact. Pick someone up with Gadget Finger, they burst, Tager uses Magna Tech Wheel right through it.
Tager is basically the Beef Gate in terms of play skill when it comes to new players, because his kit is designed to counter-attack, basically. Additionally, he has the longest backdash in the game, which can be used to dodge quite a few moves off an instant block, and follow up with a Gigantic Tager Driver or even a normal grab if wanted. He also has double the Guard Primers of other characters, at a whopping 10 where the next closes is..I think Haku-Men with 6, and everyone else is either 5 or 4. He has the lowest penalty gain for Negative State by playing defensively, and if you EVER see a Tager go into Negative state, then be sure to bundle up because Hell literally just froze over and a nuke is heading for your location as you see it happening, because the world is pretty much over at that point. In fact, over my entire BlazBlue involvement, I have only been guard broken once, which was by a Platinum with Super Hammer (that knocks off 3 primers per hit).
In order to properly fight a Tager, you need to have a really good offensive game and know where your pressure fails. Air-tight block strings will keep any Tager proper pinned down, especially if they're in the corner. Know where your chains get really invasive, anticipate any bursts, and make sure that you don't throw out something unsafe for no reason. Having a good high-low mixup will keep them on their toes as Tager's counter assault is pretty piss-poor. He just stomps and grounds the opponent which allows them to tech wherever they want, putting him right back into the same situation immediately.
tl;dr git gud. Like, literally, improve your play. The more skilled you are at the neutral game, the easier Tager's difficulty goes down.
I found them to be as bad as in Calamity Trigger....
But yeah, CPU Tager predicts your moves and can even do standing 720 or even 1080 motions!
Irony is that in Guilty Gear XX AC+ R there is an achievement for beating CPU on hard, which is a piece of cake. But BB AI is 10 much more advanced yet there is no achievement...
No.
Nu v Tager was LITERALLY a 10:0 matchup in CT - completely unwinnable by Tager. In this game, it's about 7.5:2.5, and it CP it's 7:3
So you're saying there's a chance. /s
I have one more question though.
How should I fight Jin?
I'm trying to beat arcade on hell difficulty but he's just impossible to fight, his attacks freeze me on the spot making his combos even longert han they should be and even if break the ice attack he gets me inmediately.
Edit: Well I've been trying to beat him for hours now and it's outright impossible. I had no idea how overpowered, unbalanced and unfair his technique was until I tried Hell difficulty.
