Sound System Error Fix for Haegemonia: Legions of Iron [SOLVED]

Hello,

I share this if I can help.

- Go and download Hgm_Soundfix from here: http://www.moddb.com/downloads/haegemonia-legions-of-iron-sound-system-fix

- Then backup hgm.exe in your steam/common/haegemonia... and overwrite it from the one you downloaded.

- Put compatibility for windows xp service 3 and administrator rights.

- Then go to gamecopyworld.com and download Haegemonia v1.10 [GERMAN] No-CD/Fixed Image from here:http://www.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_haegemonia.shtml

- Once downloaded extract and mount iso in daemon tools.

Finally execute haegemonia from steam and thats all.

NOTE: Playing with Windows 8

no, since the image and the steam versions are slightly different

Installing SweetFX not only makes the graphics look way better, but it seems to have also fixed the sound system error for some odd reason.

If you happen to have the original cd release of the game (like I did) then you can do this fix without having to worry about other images or daemon tools. Follow the first few steps of theis repair, and then when it comes to downloading the image, just pop in the disc and launch from steam. Works like a charm, not one crash in 20 or so hours of playtime.

I don't understood half of your instructions! the solution provided by darkening sounds far more easy and simple, but I need confirmation that it works.

Yes it's easier, but when he posted the instructions the fix I linked didn't exist yet. As for confirmation I can only say that it works for me (Win7 64bit) :)

didnt work for me. running win 7 64bit.
it oddly enough didnt crash at the spot it usually did before applying darklings patch, but now it will always crash to desktop on the end of mission screen without any error message.
really wish Steam would start testing ♥♥♥♥ properly before allowing it to be added to the store.
