Called it....
Go into the registry editor
Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Digital Reality/Haegemonia
To input a resolution for example 1680x1050:
ResolutionX = 1680
ResolutionY = 1050
I have noticed that if I go into the options/load menu within the game, these registry values reset to 800x600. Now this means you will have to change these values before playing the game everytime IF you went into the options/load menu previously playing the game.
I know this isnt a FULL solution but atleast you have widescreen
The correct path is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeDigital RealityHaegemonia
Windows 7 has much in common with Vista, including many registry entry locations, so this may pertain to Windows Vista users as well.
Not that problem, as you can find your optimal settings, after that remove with regedt32 the right of changing value and delete. I tested it for my CD version of this game and it works, should do the same with the steam version i think.
Please explain. I don't undestand what i should remove. I know the registry hack, but entering the load/options menu resets the resolution.
I use everything with admin access sadly, with experience, alot of stuff tends to not work without admin access....wouldn't it be more better to be able to prevent a game from making changes??
I just edited the resolutions in the config file in the splash folder and got it to work. It got the FMV videos to work as well. I also ran the game in compatibility mode under Windows 2000 for the hell of it.
