Back Catalogue BS
There are so many awesome games being released that are being shoved off the new release lists by developers dumping their crappy back catalogue of games on steam.

Steams new open door policy for existing publishers is being taken advantage of and great developers are being shafted by this crap.

Total Biscuit talked about this a couple months back, and I completely agree with him on his supposed change for the New Releases tab.

Yeah they also discussed it at length on The CoOptional Podcast, it is a real issue right now.

Go take a long walk off a short pier, all of you. These games are all maximum nostalgia for me.

Nostalgia or not, they are not new.

Watch the video that I posted and then consider what the implications are for an indie developer when a publisher dumps a bunch of games from their catalog at one time.

I don't think anyone here said that they shouldn't be on Steam. What we're saying is that they shouldn't be taking up space on the "New Releases" section of the home page when they're clearly not new.

Steam could implement a tab with Retro Releases or somethin similar and solve the issue. But heaven forbid they do something useful with their UI.

I don't think these games are crap, however, I do agree with putting them in a seperate category. Everything is just too cluttered.

OLD Releases must be separated and out of page what is for NEW released titles. My vote goes to Retro Button-Section. also prerelease, alphas, betas to separate section...
