Ok, so while looking at puzzles in the new Shadowgate, I noticed it seems to be based quite a bit on an obscure remake of Shadow Gate made for mobile phones back in 2005.

Has anyone played this version?

Anyone still have a copy? Would it be possible for someone to do a 'let's play'? Maybe look at all the script elements added to that version of the game, to see how much was 'adapted' from it into the new version?

I've seen some images of this particular release but never played it. I also thought that a similar version was released for Windows 95 and Palm PCs at around the same time, but I've found scarce information regarding these versions.

The Win95 and Palm PC versions were released in 1999 actually. Also called Shadowgate Classic. They were slightly modified versions of the windows 3.1 releases from 1992/3. But based on the original mac version, so all the original puzzles/locations. Just updated graphics.

They were released the same year as Shadowgate Classic on Gameboy Color (a modified d port of the NES version, with updated, and some cases changed/replaced graphics, but same script/puzzles), and Shadowgate 64).
